As you may have seen, St. Vincent Place is teaming up with the Soup Kitchen Community Centre to run the Help Us Can Hunger food drive. We’re in need of some volunteers to help out on June 13 and 14, as outlined below. (Learn more about the food drive here.)
On June 13, we’re looking for some volunteers to set up at local grocery stores. (We’re still confirming with a couple stores who have given tentative responses, but these will be all around town.) Ideally this will be broken into a few shifts to cover the full day, likely 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm, 3pm-6pm, and 6pm-9pm.
On June 14, we’re looking for volunteers to help with ‘drive thru’ collections happening here at St. Vincent Place and at the Soup Kitchen. These volunteers will meet donors at their vehicles and collect the donations so that the donors don’t have to get out of their cars. These collections will run from 10am to 4pm, so we’re hoping to split the day into 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm.
